This position develops a plan of care, which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

Qualifications
Education
- Completion of a formal Nursing program.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse, State of CT
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties
- Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.
- Applies the principles and practices of nursing.
- Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate patient care.
- Works towards caring for a full patient assignment with expanding scope of responsibilities over time.
- Basic knowledge of high reliability.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Uses communication skills to foster a healthy work environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes and experience.
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and co-workers.
- Applies knowledge of care for age specific populations.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Self-directed in clinical responsibilities.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple clinical priorities.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and use of industry applications/programs. Ability to learn new technology and programs as advancements and changes are implemented.
