Shift: Full-time, Days (40hrs/wk)
The Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Nurse Navigator serves as a patient advocate and liaison between patients, radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers. This role ensures patients are well-informed, prepared, and supported throughout their imaging journey, particularly in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, or diagnostic imaging procedures.

Pay Range
$35.85 - $77.82
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Essential Functions
Patient Coordination & Advocacy
- Guide patients through radiology procedures, ensuring they understand the process and expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients undergoing complex imaging or interventional procedures.
- Advocate for patient needs and preferences with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families about imaging procedures, risks, benefits, and post-procedure care.
- Provide emotional support and address concerns related to diagnosis and treatment.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with radiologists and referring providers.
- Monitor patient progress and follow up on imaging results and next steps.
- Coordinate appointments, tests, and procedures across departments.
- Ensure timely scheduling and communication between radiology, oncology, surgery, and insurance providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage complex patient cases.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and scheduling software.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN/MSN preferred.
- 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in radiology, oncology, or care coordination.
- Experience in patient navigation or case management is highly desirable.
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Maintains BLS.
